Message from the Director
Dr. Stacy Carlock, LECC Director
Hello, LECC families! We are so excited to open our doors to our students, and I am even more excited to be your Director of LECC! My past experience includes me being an Assistant Principal at Reed, Spoede, and Old Bonhomme Elementary Schools. Prior to that, I was an Administrator for Special School District and worked at various early childhood centers, including LECC for five years.
As an educational leader for the LECC, I believe very much in the power of play for our students. Research shows play can improve children’s ability to plan, organize, get along with others, and regulate their emotions. Play is important for healthy brain development. It is through play that children at a very early age engage and interact in the world around them.
Additionally, I believe very much in our staff developing a collaborative approach with our families to ensure we are meeting the high expectations we all desire for our children. I believe those high expectations are met and surpassed by developing relationships and trust. I strongly encourage and hope you will always reach out to me if a need arises. These strong relationships within the community are what will lead to success in achieving academic and social-emotional growth at the Ladue Early Childhood Center.
Thank you for sharing your children with us and for allowing us to be a part of your child’s important early childhood experience.
